But the journey wasn’t perfect. I remember vividly -mid-transition— standing in my kitchen eating 10 jerk wings, tempted and unsure. I was still running my regular business and adjusting to a new way of living. That moment taught me that change doesn’t happen overnight—and that’s okay. In December 2018, I made a life-changing decision to transition to a plant-based lifestyle. At the time, I was searching for relief from chronic acid reflux. Rather than turn to prescription medications, I turned inward—toward food. I started a food diary to track what I ate, how it made me feel, and what truly nourished my body. Not only did my acid reflux disappear, but I also lost over 35 pounds in just three weeks—no gimmicks, just intentional eating and a consistent gym routine.
